Last updated: 2 July 2026. Sunready ("we") operates sunready.uk. This policy explains how we handle personal information under UK GDPR and PECR. Contact us any time at hello@sunready.uk.
What we collect
When you complete the free check we collect what you type into the form: your name, email, phone number, postcode, property or business details, energy usage band, timeline, and your consent choices. We also keep a record of when and how you submitted, so we can evidence consent.
Why we use it (and the legal basis)
- To run your check and send your results. Legal basis: consent, which you give when you submit the form.
- To match you with suitable MCS-certified installers, only if you ask for quotes. Legal basis: consent. We share your details with the matched installer so they can contact you about your enquiry, and for no other purpose.
- To follow up about your enquiry. Legal basis: consent. Every message includes a way to opt out, and opt-outs are honoured across all future contact.
What we never do
We never sell your details, never share them with anyone other than the installer you are matched with, and never contact people who have not asked us to. We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal effects.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses essential cookies to run. With your consent (the cookie banner), we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used; decline and the site works exactly the same. See your browser settings to clear cookies at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records while your enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to evidence consent and meet legal obligations, then delete them. Ask us to delete your data at any time and we will, unless a legal duty requires us to keep a minimal record.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or object to processing, all free of charge, by emailing hello@sunready.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
